I saw a speech by the Federal CIO Vivek Kundra today. I believe John Dvorak's criticism of him is dead-on. The guy is a blowhard.

Still waiting for the recruiters to come knocking on my door...

Or perhaps the economy may negate the drastic uptick in these jobs?

CISSP - The new standard

Trying to identify whether the CISSP will be the new Federal Standard for "licensed, certified Information Security Experts" that the new Senate bill calls to run IT Security for all government and industry positions. Looks like it's got the best traction to grab this plum.

We'll see.

President-elect Obama has mentioned the term Helath IT several times, leading the pundits to assume spending on IT Security Experts should grow quickly. Since I am one of those IT Security Experts I thought I would put some of my views and opinions here.
